“They have locked up far too many innocent people. First and foremost, we need to rectify this situation, friends. We will save you and help absolutely everyone! I’m with you, and I’m very happy,” said Tedo Abramov, who was declared not guilty by the judge’s decision a short while ago and was released from the courtroom.
“There are far too many innocent people locked up. First and foremost, we need to fix this situation, friends. We will save you and help absolutely everyone! Friends, those of you who are here, remember – you are one more! I’m with you, and I’m very happy.
During Giorgi Akhobadze’s moment, we, the guys, were playing football, and while we were there, it suddenly came up that Akhobadze had a court hearing. I thought, let’s see what’s happening. I was eager too. When we saw it, it was a miraculous feeling,” Abramov stated.
For reference, the Tbilisi City Court found Tedo Abramov, accused of a drug-related crime, not guilty, and he was released from the courtroom.
The decision was made by Judge Tamar Mchedlishvili.
According to her explanation, law enforcement could have conducted video recording or presented a neutral witness in the case, which would have made the case indisputable and ensured trust in the search of the accused.
As a reminder, Tedo Abramov was arrested on December 7.
Tedo Abramov was charged under Part 6 of Article 260 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the acquisition, storage, or possession of a particularly large amount of narcotic substances.
This offense carries a penalty of 8 to 20 years of imprisonment or life imprisonment.
