Giorgi Chikvaidze, convicted of illegally misappropriating a large amount of funds, has begun a hunger strike. Information regarding this is being disseminated by Chikvaidze’s mother, Eka Tsereteli, on the social network “Facebook.”
She is calling on the parents of other detainees not to urge Chikvaidze to end the hunger strike.
“Political prisoner Giorgi Chikvaidze announced a hunger strike today, September 23, due to the pressure exerted on him. Responsibility lies with the new director of Gldani No. 8 facility, Ramaz Pirtskhalava!
P.S. With the utmost respect for the parents of political prisoners, please do not urge him to end the hunger strike,” writes Tsereteli.
