The Tbilisi City Court has recognized Vakho Sanaia, a TV presenter of the TV company Formula, as an administrative violator.
Judge Manuchar Tsatsua ordered 6 days of administrative detention.
“These people are arguing with me about something when their regime has torn up the constitution, beaten people, has political prisoners, and changed the country’s foreign policy. All laws related to human rights have been violated. My obligation is to be where the people who have been fighting for a year are. This cannot be artificial. I am sure that this fight will end with our victory. These people [MIA representatives], who think that they will move from one regime to another, cannot be here after the regime is overthrown,” Vakho Sanaia said at the trial.
For information, Vakho Sanaia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs is accused of artificially blocking Rustaveli Avenue in the evening hours of October 18.
