Georgian Mayor Talks About “Deep State”
The mayor of the capital city, Kakha Kaladze, spoke to the press about the situation in Georgia. He said that the government is watching the efforts to defeat the “Deep State”.
Kaladze said: “We are monitoring these processes and want to wish Donald Trump success.” The mayor also said that they support President Trump but are concerned about their own country.
What happens next matters to us, Kaladze explained. He wants to know how relations will develop between Georgia and the US after the “Deep State” has been defeated.
The Mayor of Tbilisi said that the goal of the “Deep State” is to put one of their own in power and make them do what they are told.
He also said: “The ‘Deep State’ has very deep roots in Georgia.” They have spent a lot of money on creating networks of agents, he claimed. This was done in order to pursue their own interests and take control of the country.
Kaladze said that these forces are still working to use Georgia for their own gain. He believes that they are trying to overthrow the government and deepen polarization.
The executive secretary of the Georgian Dream, Mamuka Mdinaradze, wrote on social media about how the US approaches Georgia in the future will show whether the “Deep State” has been defeated or not.
