**Georgian Delegation Not Recognized by European Parliament**
For the first time, a country’s delegation was not allowed to participate in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). This happened with Georgia. The Georgian government is led by Bidzina Ivanishvili.
The leader of United National Movement, Tina Bokuchava, said that this decision means the Georgian government is isolated from international community. She also said that it’s impossible for this regime to get European recognition.
**Strongest Sanction**
According to Bokuchava, the strongest punishment PACE can give was used against Georgia today. This punishment is when a country’s delegation is not allowed to participate in PACE because of its actions.
This situation has happened only with Russia and Azerbaijan before. Bokuchava said that this decision means Ivanishvili’s government will face strong sanctions.
