The reactions we have seen are amazing – the radical opposition, together with their patrons, is particularly aggressive towards Erekle II, – Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists in Kakheti.
According to him, their “great aggression” stems from the fact that Erekle II is a symbol of devotion to the homeland and pragmatism, which the agents and their patrons cannot accept.
“When there was the greatest pressure regarding the opening of the second front, one of the ambassadors met with one of our leaders and began to curse Erekle II in a completely incomprehensible way. After that, I had a meeting with one of my colleagues, a high-ranking representative of the same embassy, and he also suddenly began to curse Erekle II. Within a week, Mr. Berdzenishvili, a pseudo-thinker, was brought out and he cursed Erekle II. This shows what kind of coordination there is between the local agents and their patrons. There is a lot of aggression towards Erekle II, precisely because Erekle II is a symbol of pragmatism and dedication to the homeland, and our foreign agents and their patrons cannot tolerate this,” the Prime Minister said.
