“Georgian Dream will not succeed in making Georgia disappear from America’s radar – Georgia will be an example of success, progress, and integration into the European family for the entire region,” – said the General Secretary of the United National Movement, Petre Tsiskarishvili.
According to Tsiskarishvili, “Georgian Dream hopes that the current U.S. administration will only deal with American domestic issues. The illegitimate regime of ‘Dream’ hopes that the current U.S. administration will remain isolated from global events, giving them a free hand to befriend and partner with their favorite states, such as Iran, Russia, Belarus, China, and others. Of course, this will not happen – America has even greater ambition to play an important role in regional politics, including in the South Caucasus and the Black Sea region. For the U.S., Georgia will no longer be associated with the infamous ‘Georgian scenario,’ which our friends and partners in Eastern Europe speak about. What Putin could not achieve through warfare, he achieved through ballots and, so to speak, with the hands of the Georgian people – if I may paraphrase Putin’s own phrase. Georgia will become an example of success, progress, development, and integration into the common European family for other countries across the region,” – said Petre Tsiskarishvili.
As stated in the information released by the party, the leaders of the United National Movement continue meetings in the U.S. Senate. In discussions with senators, they address issues of U.S.–Georgia partnership, the ties of Ivanishvili’s regime with the Kremlin, China, and Iran. The talks also touched upon the issue of political prisoners.
