The verdict in the case of Zviad Tsetskhladze and 7 other people arrested on charges of organizing and participating in gang violence will be pronounced today, September 2.
The hearing is scheduled for 12:00 at the Tbilisi City Court.
The prosecutor’s office expects a guilty verdict against both the accused in organizing gang violence and the participants in it.
The lawyers believe that no evidence has been presented to prove the guilt of the detainees.
For information, Vasil Kadzelashvili, Vepkhia Kasradze and Zviad Tsetskhladze are charged with committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 225 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which pertains to organizing and leading a group action. This action is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 6 to 9 years.
Insaf Aliyev, Tornike Goshadze, Nikoloz Javakhishvili, Irakli Miminoshvili and Giorgi Gorgadze are charged with committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 225 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which pertains to participating in group violence. This action is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 4 to 6 years.
