**EU Must Support Georgia’s European Future**
A leader of the “Coalition for Change” in Georgia has called on EU institutions to use their leverage to ensure that his country’s choice is realized. Zurab “Girchi” Japaridze made this appeal during a joint press conference with European MPs in the European Parliament.
According to Japaridze, the Georgian people are certain that their future lies in Europe, not Russia. He said that Georgians have taken to the streets to demand freedom, democracy, and a rightful place in the EU. This is not just about Georgia’s European future but also about the fate of the entire Caucasus region.
