**Ukraine Prepares for Escalation as Russia Plans Massive Drone Attacks**
In a disturbing turn of events, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed that Russia is planning to drastically increase its drone attacks on the country. According to Zelensky, Russia aims to launch up to 1,000 drones per day, but Ukraine already has effective countermeasures in place.
The situation on the ground has been dire for months now, with Russia consistently breaking records for the amount of firepower deployed and civilian casualties suffered. Just last night, Russia launched a massive missile and drone attack against multiple Ukrainian cities, with the far-western city of Lutsk coming under the heaviest attack of the war.
Speaking at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome yesterday, Zelensky emphasized that Russia’s goal is to destabilize Ukraine through prolonged air raids. He warned that if international partners are made aware of this plan, Ukraine will be able to shoot down every drone launched against it.
**Ukraine Finds Solution to Counter Russian Drones**
Zelensky also highlighted a proven effective technology developed by Ukrainian scientists and engineers to counteract the Iranian-designed Shahed drones being used by Russia. According to the President, Ukraine has found a solution as a country and will be able to mass-produce counter-drones, but requires appropriate funding.
This comes after earlier warnings from Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, Commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, who cautioned that Russian Shahed drone strikes could escalate to 1,000 per day. Ukrainian officials are now considering relocating their drone production in response to the increased threat.
**Ukraine’s Countermeasures Prove Effective**
The effectiveness of Ukraine’s counter-drone technology has been tested and proven to stand at an impressive 70%, nearly twice as high as that of mobile fire groups. Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi has previously praised the performance of interceptor drones, but cautioned that it is too early to guarantee consistency.
As tensions escalate, Ukraine’s resolve remains strong, with Zelensky emphasizing that with international partners’ support and funding, they will be able to shoot down every drone launched against them. The world watches as Ukraine prepares for an uncertain future amidst a growing threat from Russia.
