**Russia’s Aerial Attacks on Ukraine Soar to New Heights**

According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russia has launched a staggering number of aerial attacks on Ukraine since the start of 2025. In a social media post on June 4, Zelensky revealed that Russia has carried out nearly 48,600 aerial attacks in just six months.

The breakdown of these attacks is disturbing: Russia has launched over 27,700 aerial bombs, more than 11,200 Shahed drones, approximately 9,000 other types of attack drones, and over 700 missiles at Ukraine. This relentless bombardment has intensified in recent months, with Russian forces targeting Ukrainian cities with precision-guided missiles and drones.

**Record Drone Swarm Targets Ukrainian Cities**

On the night of June 1, Russia unleashed its largest swarm of attack drones since the start of the full-scale invasion, deploying an astonishing 472 units at once. This marked a new low in the war, as Russian forces sought to overwhelm Ukrainian defenses with sheer numbers.

Just days earlier, from May 24-26, Russia launched one of the heaviest attacks of the war, with a series of mass drone and missile strikes targeting Ukrainian cities. During this period, more than 600 drones and dozens of missiles were launched, putting immense pressure on Ukraine’s military and civilian infrastructure.

**U.S. Mediation Fails to Stop Russian Aggression**

Despite efforts by U.S. President Donald Trump to mediate peace talks between Russia and Ukraine, the Kremlin has continued to reject a ceasefire. This failure to find common ground has allowed Russia to maintain its aggressive posture, with Zelensky describing their actions as “giving the finger to the entire world.”

**Russia’s Drone Production Booms**

A source within Ukraine’s military intelligence (HUR) revealed that Russia is rapidly increasing its production of long-range drones. According to this source, Russia will soon be able to deploy more than 500 such drones per night to attack Ukraine as it ramps up production and builds new launch sites for them.

This increase in drone production has significant implications for Ukraine’s military and civilians alike. As Zelensky noted, “Russia has restructured its entire state, society, and economy to be able to kill people in other countries on a massive scale and with impunity.” The international community must take note of this escalation and increase pressure on Russia to bring an end to its brutal war.
