**No European Allies Alone**
Zelensky expressed doubt about whether European allies can provide sufficient military support on their own. “It can’t be without the United States,” he said. He believes that Russia will not take risks unless the US is involved.
**Seeking Long-term US Support**
As the new administration in the US prepares to engage with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Zelensky aims to secure long-term support from the US. He also urged China to use its influence on Russia to push for peace.
**No Negotiations without Ukraine’s Input**
Zelensky stressed that any negotiations about Ukraine’s future must include Ukrainian involvement. He warned against deals being made without Kyiv’s input, citing concerns about the Minsk talks in 2015.
**Security Guarantees Essential**
Zelensky emphasized the need for strong and irreversible security guarantees from the US and Europe to ensure a ceasefire is not just a temporary solution. “Ending the war should be a victory for Trump, not for Putin,” he said.
