**Trump May Resume Aid to Ukraine**
US President Donald Trump may lift restrictions on military support for Ukraine once peace talks are arranged and more confidence-building measures are taken, according to White House national security adviser Mike Waltz.
The pause in US aid was put in place after a public spat between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. However, since then, Zelensky has made statements calling the quarrel “regrettable” and reaffirming his commitment to working towards peace under Trump’s leadership.
Waltz described Zelensky’s statement as a “good, positive first step”. He also said that if negotiations are successfully arranged and confidence-building measures are taken, then Trump may lift the pause on military aid.
**Ukraine Seeks Security Guarantees**
Ukraine has repeatedly stressed that security guarantees to prevent Russia from resuming aggression at a later date are necessary for any peace talks. The US administration has pushed back, saying that the minerals deal is a security commitment of its own and should be enough to secure Ukraine’s interests.
**Trump Aide Discussing Peace Talks**
US officials are leading talks on a specific date, location, and team for the negotiations. However, it remains unclear whether Zelensky’s recent statement will be enough to restart US aid.
**Ukraine Calls Down Drones**
Ukrainian forces have shot down 115 drones over various regions in Ukraine, according to the Air Force. This number includes 1,250 casualties Russian forces suffered just over the past day.
