**US President Trump Helps Ukraine Find Air Defenses**
The US president, Donald Trump, has agreed to help Ukraine find air defenses from Europe. This was announced by the White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt.
During a phone call on March 19, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked for additional air defense systems to protect civilians. He specifically asked for Patriot missile systems. Trump agreed to find what was available in Europe.

Zelensky also discussed a ceasefire and ending Russia’s war with Trump during their call. He asked Trump to help protect Ukrainian energy infrastructure from Russian missile and drone strikes.
Trump suggested that American ownership of Ukraine’s power plants could ensure their security. Zelensky agreed to stop strikes on Russian energy infrastructure.

The European Union plans to supply Ukraine with at least 2 million shells annually, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas announced on March 19.
Ukraine brought home 175 soldiers in a prisoner exchange with Russia, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced.
