**Serbian Government Says Western Powers Trying to Destabilize the Country**
A meeting between Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin and Russia’s top spy, Sergey Naryshkin, has taken place in Moscow. During the meeting, Vulin accused Western intelligence services of trying to destabilize Serbia.
The protests started after a concrete awning collapsed at Novi Sad Railway Station, killing 15 people. They have since spread across the country. The Serbian government says these protests are being backed by Western powers as part of a “colored revolution”.
Vulin also mentioned that recent court rulings and US sanctions against certain Serb officials and companies are all part of a larger hybrid war to overthrow President Aleksandar Vucic and his government.
Naryshkin, the head of Russian foreign intelligence, expressed support for Serbia’s stability and said Russia will always back the Serbian people. He also called Vulin a “proven friend” of Russia.
In addition to discussing Serbia’s internal issues, Vulin and Naryshkin talked about strengthening ties between Moscow and Belgrade, finding a solution for the Kosovo crisis, and resolving tensions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
