Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic commented on the recent protests. He said that some politicians acted unfairly by going into a government building in Novi Sad.
Vucic said there were two kinds of news. The good news is that two people, who got hurt during the protests, are recovering well. One was a woman who was pushed to the ground after yelling at student protesters. The other was a girl student who was run over by a car during a protest in Belgrade.
The bad news, according to Vucic, is that politicians broke the law by going into the Novi Sad City Hall building. He said they did not want to listen to him and follow the rules. Vucic also said it’s wrong for opposition parties to use violence against people and officials. He said the government will stop anyone who tries to use force to get power.
Vucic asked people not to make things worse and not to try to gain power with help from foreign countries. He also warned that people who think violence is a good way to solve problems will be stopped by the state.
