**Russia-Ukraine War Updates: May 6, 2025**
As of today, the Russian invasion of Ukraine has entered its 1,168th day. The General Staff of Ukraine has provided an update on the latest developments in the conflict zone.
**Enemy Aggression Continues**
Over the past day, Ukrainian forces recorded a total of 200 combat clashes with the enemy. The invaders launched one missile and 80 air strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, using two missiles and dropping 175 aerial bombs (CABs). They also carried out over 6,100 attacks, including 113 from multiple launch rocket systems, and employed 3,344 kamikaze drones.
**Targeted Areas of Enemy Strikes**
The aggressor’s air strikes were particularly focused on the following areas:
* Vorozhba, Iskryskivshchyna, Myropillya, Bilopillya in the Sumy region
* Zolochiv, Kozacha Lopan, Pidlyman in the Kharkiv region
* Shevchenko Pershe, Nova Poltavka, Sukhyi Yar, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Oleksandrograd, Novopil, Zelene Pole in the Donetsk region
* Malynovka, Temyrivka, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Stepove, Kamianske in the Zaporizhia region
**Ukrainian Defense Forces Respond**
In response to enemy aggression, Ukrainian forces struck 24 areas of concentration for enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment. They also targeted two command posts, five missile troops and artillery assets, two air defense assets, and four other important enemy objects.
**Key Battles and Losses**
Notable battles took place in various regions:
* The Kharkiv direction saw four clashes near Vovchansk.
* The Kupyansky direction experienced five attacks by the invaders, which were repelled by Ukrainian forces in the areas of Zagryzovye, Novoosynovye, and Hlushkivka.
* In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 31 times, attempting to advance near several settlements.
* The Kramatorsk direction saw four enemy attacks, which were repelled by Ukrainian defenders in Chasiv Yar, Kurdyumivka, and Bila Hora.
**Enemy Losses and Total Combat Losses**
The General Staff of Ukraine reported that the enemy suffered significant losses over the past day, with 1,430 soldiers killed or wounded. Additionally, Ukrainian forces neutralized three tanks, five armored combat vehicles, 61 artillery systems, one MLRS, 145 operational-tactical-level UAVs, 103 vehicles, and three units of special equipment.
