**Russia-Ukraine War Updates: A Grim Day for Russia**
June 10, 2025 – Today marks the 1,202nd day of the large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The situation on the ground remains dire, with both sides suffering significant losses.
According to the latest updates from the General Staff of Ukraine, yesterday was a bloody day for Russia. In total, 159 combat clashes were recorded, as Russian forces launched missile strikes and air attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements. The invaders also carried out extensive shelling, using multiple launch rocket systems and kamikaze drones.
**Russia’s Desperate Efforts Foiled**
Despite their efforts, the Russian military was unable to gain significant ground in most areas. In the Kharkiv direction, no combat clashes were recorded, suggesting a brief respite for Ukrainian forces. However, in other regions, such as Kupyansk and Lyman, Russian troops made repeated attacks, which were successfully repelled by Ukrainian defenders.
The Siversk direction saw four enemy assaults on Ukrainian positions near Hryhorivka, Verkhnyokamyansk, and Viyimka. In the Kramatorsk direction, six combat clashes took place near Bila Hora, Predtechyny, and Kurdyumivka. The Toretsk direction witnessed 19 attacks by Russian forces, while in the Pokrovsky direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 47 enemy offensive actions.
**Ukrainian Forces Gain Ground**
In contrast to Russia’s losses, Ukrainian forces made significant gains on the battlefield. In the Novopavlivka direction, they repelled 19 attacks on their positions near settlements and in other areas. The Hulyaipole direction saw four attempts by Russian forces to advance near Malinivka.
**Russia’s Humanitarian Crisis Deepens**
The toll of the war on Russia’s military is evident. According to estimates, 970 Russian soldiers were killed or wounded yesterday alone. This brings the total combat losses for the enemy from February 24, 2022, to June 9, 2025, to staggering levels.
**Ukrainian Forces Continue to Outperform Russia**
In stark contrast, Ukrainian forces continue to inflict significant losses on Russian occupation forces in manpower and equipment. They neutralized four tanks, 11 armored combat vehicles, 42 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, 167 operational-tactical-level UAVs, 123 vehicles, and a heavy flamethrower system.
As the war rages on, it’s clear that Ukrainian forces remain resolute in their defense of their homeland. The international community must continue to support Ukraine in its fight against aggression and provide humanitarian aid to those affected by this devastating conflict.
