**Russia-Ukraine War: Latest Updates from the General Staff of Ukraine**
As of April 25, 2024, the Russian large-scale invasion of Ukraine has reached its 1,157th day. The war, which began on February 24, 2022, has seen significant losses on both sides.
**Enemy Activity**
The Ukrainian military reported that the enemy used its superiority in manpower and equipment to launch attacks on Ukrainian positions. Despite this, Ukrainian defenders were able to hold back the onslaught and inflict significant losses on the enemy.
**Aerial Strikes and Artillery Attacks**
Over the past day, the enemy launched one missile and 110 air strikes on Ukrainian units and settlements. A total of 72 missiles were used, and 201 “carrier-attack” bombs (CABs) were dropped. The aggressor also carried out 6,178 attacks, including 115 from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and used 3,148 kamikaze drones to strike.
**Targeted Areas**
The enemy’s aerial strikes and artillery attacks targeted several areas in Ukraine, including:
* Sumy region: Ugroidy, Krasnopillya, Stepok, Ryasne, Myropylske
* Chernihiv region: Kremsky Bugor
* Kharkiv region: Ridkodub, Putnikovo

**Ukrainian Defense Forces Response**
The Ukrainian Defense Forces responded with air strikes and artillery attacks on six areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment. They also struck nine artillery systems and one enemy control point.
**Direction-Specific Updates**
* Kupyansk direction: Four enemy attacks were stopped by Ukrainian defenders in the areas of Nova Kruglyakivka, Zagryzovo, and towards Boguslavka.
* Lyman direction: The enemy launched 15 attacks, but Ukrainian defenders held their ground near Novy, Kolodyaz, Torske, Yampolivka, and other locations.
* Siversky direction: Eight enemy offensive actions were stopped by Ukrainian Defense Forces near Bilogorivka, towards Verkhnokamyansky, and Hryhorivka.
**Total Losses**
Over the past day, the losses of the Russian invaders totaled 1,170 soldiers. Ukrainian soldiers also neutralized nine tanks, three armored combat vehicles, 72 artillery systems, three MLRS, three air defense systems, 48 missiles, 119 operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and 151 vehicles.
