We appreciate Georgia’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha writes in a letter sent to Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, thanking his Georgian counterpart for her congratulations on Ukraine’s Independence Day.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister notes that Georgia and Ukraine can contribute to establishing peace in the region.
“I am confident that together we can contribute to establishing a just and sustainable peace for the benefit of the Black Sea region,” reads the letter.
The letter also discusses cooperation in international formats:
“I consider the GUAM framework to be an effective mechanism for our multilateral regional cooperation and look forward to the next meeting of the GUAM Council of Foreign Ministers, which will be held within the framework of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly,” the Ukrainian Foreign Minister noted.
At the end of the letter, Andriy Sybiha wishes the Georgian Foreign Minister success in her professional activities, and the Georgian people peace and prosperity.
