**Ukraine Launches Another Round of Drone Attacks on Russia**
In the early hours of July 11, Ukrainian drones targeted various facilities on Russian territory. The attacks were reported in multiple regions, including the Moscow region and Taganrog.
According to preliminary reports, factories and an oil depot were hit in these areas. This is not the first time Ukraine has launched drone attacks on Russia’s industrial sites. In May and June, several key defense enterprises in the city of Tula were targeted, causing significant disruptions.
One of the most notable targets was the Kronstadt drone development company in Dubna, a suburb just outside Moscow. The attack also hit an oil depot in Lukhovitsy, where it is suspected that a local aviation plant was also affected. This plant is known for producing MiG-29 and MiG-35 fighter jets.
In Taganrog, debris from one of the drones fell on the Beriev Aviation Plant, which specializes in manufacturing amphibious aircraft and special-purpose aviation complexes. The plant also performs major repairs on aircraft for the Russian Navy aviation and the Long-Range Aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
These drone attacks come just two days after unidentified drones hit the Russian cities of Kursk and Rylsk, killing three civilians and injuring others. In recent weeks, Ukraine has stepped up its attacks on Russia’s critical infrastructure, including a chemical plant in the Moscow region and an optical-mechanical plant in the Rostov region.
**A Pattern of Attacks**
The frequency and scope of these drone attacks suggest that Ukraine is increasing its tempo of operations against Russian targets. While the exact motives behind these attacks are unclear, it is evident that Ukraine is determined to disrupt Russia’s military capabilities and industrial production.
These attacks also highlight the evolving nature of modern warfare, where unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) play an increasingly significant role in disrupting enemy supply chains and critical infrastructure.
**What’s Next?**
As tensions between Ukraine and Russia continue to escalate, it remains to be seen how Russia will respond to these drone attacks. Will they intensify their own military operations against Ukraine, or will they opt for a more measured approach?
One thing is certain: the use of drones in warfare has become a game-changer, offering both sides a means to target enemy infrastructure and disrupt supply chains without exposing troops to significant risks.
