* Security guarantees for Ukraine, with NATO membership remaining on the table
* Immediate funding for arms and a 10-billion-euro investment in Ukraine’s defense industry
* Holding Russia accountable for war crimes, maintaining sanctions until its aggression ends, seizing frozen assets, and implementing tariffs on Russian and Belarusian imports
* Accelerating Ukraine’s EU accession, with a target date of 2030
Nauseda emphasizes that Ukraine’s security is part of European security and that the country should be involved in any negotiations or agreements regarding the war. He also warns against reaching an agreement between the US and Russia without involving Ukraine or Europe, which could put their future security at risk.
This proposal comes as the US and Russia have begun talks in Saudi Arabia, with some concerns raised about the potential for a deal that would leave Ukraine’s security vulnerable. The future of US assistance for Ukraine under President Donald Trump’s administration is also uncertain.
