Russian attacks on Ukraine killed two people and hurt seven more over the past day. This is according to reports from local authorities.
The attacks were carried out with a total of 181 drones launched by Russia overnight. These drones came from several cities in Russia, including Oryol, Kursk, and Crimea. Some of these drones disappeared without causing any damage. This often happens when Russia launches fake or decoy drones to confuse Ukraine’s air defenses.
In the Kherson region, one person was killed and six others were hurt after Russian forces targeted 29 settlements, including the regional center of Kherson. The governor of this region reported on the attacks.
Russian forces also attacked the city of Odesa with drones and ballistic missiles. This caused power, water, and heat outages in the city. A 77-year-old man was killed when a Russian strike hit his village on the outskirts of Odesa. An energy facility owned by Ukraine’s largest private energy company, DTEK, was also attacked.
In other regions, a civilian was hurt in Donetsk, and another was injured after being hit with a glide bomb in Kharkiv.
