**Trump Unfazed by Deadly Russian Attack on Kyiv**
In a shocking display of indifference, US President Donald Trump appeared unaware of the devastating drone and missile strike on Kyiv that killed at least 15 people and injured over 120. When asked about the attack by reporters on Air Force One, Trump responded with a dismissive “When was that? When?” – despite reports of casualties having been made public two-and-a-half hours prior.
The comments came as Ukraine faced its largest aerial attack in 2025, with Russia launching an almost nine-hour-long assault on the capital. Ukrainian air defenses downed 428 of the incoming weapons, including nearly 280 Shahed-type attack drones and 15 cruise missiles. However, at least one residential building was struck, killing residents, and cluster munitions were discovered in the city.
The scale of the attack was staggering, with civilian sites hit, including kindergartens, residential areas, a university dormitory, and production facilities. Ukrainian manufacturer Fahrenheit announced its factory had been damaged, while Ukrposhta, the national postal service, lost two branches. A Ukrainian Railways train carrying grain was also struck, temporarily halting traffic.
**Russia’s Escalation**
The attack marked the latest escalation of Russian aggression on Ukrainian cities in recent weeks. Mass strikes on energy infrastructure and residential areas have become increasingly common, leaving civilians to bear the brunt of the violence.
