**US President Trump Says Nobody Has the Upper Hand in Peace Talks**
US President Donald Trump says that neither Ukraine nor Russia has the advantage in potential peace talks. This was said on March 10, just before talks between the US and Ukraine were set to take place in Saudi Arabia.
The Ukrainian and US delegations will meet on March 11 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to discuss ways to end Russia’s war with Ukraine. They are expected to talk about possible ceasefire options and a deal between the US and Ukraine involving mineral resources.
Mr Trump said that making a deal and stopping the killing is what matters most. He called the war “senseless” and promised to get it stopped.
This statement contradicts what Mr Trump said earlier, when he thought Russia had the advantage in peace talks with Ukraine. Just last month, he told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that he didn’t have the right cards regarding the war. This led to a heated argument between the two leaders, and the US suspended its military and intelligence aid for Ukraine.
The delegations meeting in Saudi Arabia will also discuss territorial issues, security protocols, and intelligence sharing. They are expected to talk about resuming military aid to Ukraine as well.
