Tina Bokuchava, the chairwoman of the National Movement, met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Odra Plepitė.
As Tina Bokuchava stated, the meeting discussed the need for a sanctions policy to be pursued by the European Union, which includes immediate restrictions on visa-free travel for “Ivanishvili, his entourage, propagandists, and perpetrators.”
“Zurab Chiaberashvili and I have just finished a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, where, of course, we talked about the necessity of a sanctions policy on the part of the European Union, which includes immediate restrictions on visa-free travel for Ivanishvili, his entourage, propagandists, and perpetrators. We are doing everything and have already had several meetings in European capitals so that Georgian citizens do not lose visa-free travel, which Ivanishvili has very realistically threatened for Georgian citizens. Instead, Ivanishvili and his entourage should lose visa-free travel. On the 20th, there is a Committee of Foreign Ministers, a ministerial meeting of EU countries, and this issue will definitely be on the agenda along with other sanctions levers so that the European Union once again supports the aspirations of the Georgian people towards the European Union,” said Tina Bokuchava.
