The West, the European Union, and the United States are the guarantors of peace in the peace process, but Ivanishvili supports Russia and wants Georgia to end up in the ruins of a weakened Russia.
According to the Chairperson of the “National Movement,” Tina Bokuchava, “Georgian Dream” claims regarding the ongoing peace negotiations in the U.S. that “there are no signals from the European Union indicating a desire to end this war, they say nothing about Russia, and they accuse Europe of trying to prolong the war.”
“Starting with Ivanishvili’s phone call with Yevtushenko, through their public statements and actions, it is abundantly clear that Ivanishvili has been rooting for Russia from the very first day and is betting on Russia’s victory, which is impossible and became even clearer after the latest peace negotiations. The key issue is that instead of Georgia having a national government that protects Georgia’s national interests and leads the country toward peace, where the West, the European Union, and the United States are the guarantors of peace, Ivanishvili wants Georgia to end up in the ruins of a weakened Russia, sacrificing the country’s interests for his personal ones,” stated Tina Bokuchava.
