**Students in Serbia Protest**
This Saturday, students will block three bridges in Novi Sad. It’s been three months since a canopy collapsed at the city’s railway station, killing 15 people.
The Varadin Bridge, Liberty Bridge, and Zezelj Bridge will be blocked for different lengths of time. The Varadin and Zezelj bridges will be closed for just three hours, while the Liberty Bridge will remain shut down for 24 hours.
Students from Belgrade have joined the protest in solidarity. They started walking towards Novi Sad on Thursday to show their support.
Organizers are asking protesters to remain peaceful and avoid any trouble during the blockade.
The canopy collapsed at the Novi Sad Railway Station on November 1, 2023. It was a newly renovated part of the station when the disaster happened.
Students from Serbia’s four largest universities have been leading protests against the tragedy.
