As part of a joint operation, searches were carried out in the apartments, houses, and personal belongings of former Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili, former head of the State Security Service Grigol Liluashvili, former Chief Prosecutor Otar Partskhaladze, and eight other individuals connected to them, Prosecutor General Giorgi Gvarakidze announced at a briefing.
According to him, various electronic devices, documents, and large amounts of cash were seized.
“Given the particularly high public interest and the significance of these criminal cases, I would like to provide the following information to the public.
Within the framework of ongoing investigations conducted by the investigative unit of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Georgia, as well as the Anti-Corruption and State Security Departments of the State Security Service, a large-scale operation was carried out today from 10:00 a.m. across 22 locations throughout the country.

Various electronic devices, documentation, and large sums of cash were seized.
Intensive investigative, procedural, and operational-search activities are currently underway in connection with this case. The public will be periodically updated on the progress and results of the investigation,” said Giorgi Gvarakidze.
