The Procedural Issues Committee in Parliament supported the recognition of the mandates of replacement members of the party “For Georgia, with Gakharia.”
The committee will present its conclusion at the next plenary session, where the entry of the new deputies will be voted on.
This concerns the recognition of the mandates of replacements for 12 deputies whose mandates were terminated.
Unlike other political groups that crossed the electoral threshold, the party “Gakharia for Georgia” did not cancel its electoral list. As a result, the issue of recognizing the mandates of the selected replacement members of its deputies was placed on Parliament’s agenda.
According to the party’s electoral list, the replacements for the respective deputies are as follows: Dimitri Tskitishvili – Gela Abuladze; Ana Buchukuri – Jemal Ananidze; Beka Liluashvili – Ketevan Bakaradze; Berdia Sichinava – Rusudan Tevzadze; Teona Akubardia – Malkhaz Toria; Natia Mezvrishvili – Shalva Kereselidze; Levan Gogichaishvili – Salome Kobaladze; Giorgi Gakharia – Giga Farlava; Zviad Dziguri – Vika Pilfani; Roin Kochorashvili – Giorgi Sharashidze; Kakha Kemoklidze – Tamar Khvedeliani; and Zaza Tavadze – Sofio Khorguani.
The mandates of the party’s deputies were terminated after the end of the spring session, at the extraordinary session on July 2, due to absenteeism without a valid reason.
In total, in the XI convocation of Parliament, the mandates of 61 opposition deputies were terminated. The opposition did not recognize the legality of the 2024 parliamentary election results or the legitimacy of Parliament and refused to take up their parliamentary mandates.
