**New Leader for Abkhazia: Giorgi Jincharadze Nominated as Chairman of Government**
The Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia has taken a significant step by nominating Giorgi Jincharadze, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, as their candidate for Chairman of the Government. This decision was confirmed to Interpressnews by Jemal Gamakharia, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Abkhazia.
**A Familiar Face**
Giorgi Jincharadze is not a stranger to Abkhazia. According to Gamakharia, he worked within their structures for several years before taking on his current role in Georgia. This familiarity with the system may make it easier for him to take on the new position. However, his appointment still requires approval from the Government of Georgia.
**A New Era Begins**
As Gamakharia explained, Jincharadze will present his program and a new composition of the government after receiving approval from Tbilisi. This will set in motion the usual procedure of discussions in committees and finally, a plenary session where the government will be confirmed. The plenary session must take place within 10 days.
**A Departure**
It’s worth noting that this nomination comes after Levan Mgaloblishvili resigned as Chairman of the Government on June 2. This change may bring about new ideas and approaches to governance in Abkhazia.
