**Tensions Remain High in Kharkiv Region**
The situation in the Kharkiv direction remains critical, with the enemy making repeated attempts to assault the area. According to Pavlo Shamshin, spokesman for the Kharkiv Operational Tactical Group (OTU), the Russians are focusing their efforts on the Vovchansk area, where they hope to gain a foothold.
**Enemy Tactics Unsuccessful**
The enemy is trying to use motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) to quickly move between positions, hoping to avoid encounters with Ukrainian drones. However, this tactic has not been successful for many Russian troops, as Shamshin noted. The Russians are also attempting to establish a bridgehead on the western bank of the Oskil River near the Dvorichna settlement, but their efforts have been thwarted by Ukrainian defenses.
**Drones Proliferate in Kharkiv Region**
The situation is further complicated by the active use of drones by the Russians. According to Shamshin, the skies over the Volchansky direction are “teeming with drones”. Reconnaissance and strike drones are being used daily and in large numbers, with fiber-optic drones also playing a significant role.
**Ukrainian Counter-Drone Efforts**
In response to the Russian drone onslaught, Ukrainian military units have been developing their aerial reconnaissance capabilities. Shamshin reported that Ukrainian drone pilots are becoming increasingly effective, with some crews achieving success rates of 5-7 out of ten targeted attacks.
The situation in the Kharkiv region remains tense and critical, with both sides employing aggressive tactics to gain an advantage. As the conflict continues, it’s clear that the use of drones will play a significant role in shaping the outcome.
