**Ukraine Confirms Strike on Key Russian Military Facility**
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed that a series of strikes were carried out against important targets in Russia, including the Tambov Gunpowder Plant. This attack marks the latest in a string of military operations launched by Ukraine against key facilities within Russia’s territory.
**Fire Reported at Tambov Gunpowder Plant**
According to reports from Gordonua, units of the UAV Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, along with other defense components, targeted several important targets on Russian soil. The General Staff confirmed that a strike was carried out against the Tambov Gunpowder Plant, resulting in a fire breaking out at the premises.
**Key Role of Tambov Gunpowder Plant**
The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalenko, highlighted the significance of the Tambov Gunpowder Plant. As one of the key facilities in Russia’s military-industrial complex, it plays a crucial role in the country’s armed aggression against Ukraine. The plant produces gunpowder for various types of small arms, artillery, and rocket systems, as well as collodion cotton used in explosive production.
**Additional Targets Hit**
In addition to the Tambov Gunpowder Plant, the General Staff reported explosions near an ammunition depot of the 106th Russian Airborne Division in the Kursk region. The storage facilities of the Buturlinovka airfield in Russia’s Voronezh region were also targeted. The results of these strikes are still being clarified.

The General Staff emphasized that the Defense Forces continue to take all necessary measures to undermine the military and economic potential of the Russian occupiers. These efforts aim to force Russia to end its armed aggression against Ukraine.

This is not the first time Ukraine has targeted military facilities within Russia’s territory. In recent months, Ukraine has primarily focused on oil and gas infrastructure, including refineries, oil depots, and gas terminals, as well as military airfields using drones. The Tambov Gunpowder Plant itself has been targeted in drone attacks before.
