Ukrainian Film Wins BAFTA Award
On February 16, the British Academy of Television and Film Arts (BAFTA) held its 78th ceremony. One of the winners was a short film called “Rock, Paper, Scissors”.
This film is about Ukraine’s war with Russia. It tells the story of an 18-year-old boy named Ivan who fights to protect his family and others. The main actor in this film is Oleksandr Rudynskyi.
The film won the award for Best British Short Film. When the actor received the prize, he used it as an opportunity to remind people about Ukraine’s war with Russia. He dedicated the award to a friend who was killed in battle just before filming started.
