**Court Finds Mzia Amaghlobeli Guilty**
The Batumi City Court has made a decision in the case of Mzia Amaghlobeli, founder of “Batumelebi” and “Netgazeti”. She was found guilty of an administrative offense.
Mzia Amaghlobeli was imposed a fine of 2,000 GEL as a penalty. This decision was made by Judge Salikh Shainidze.
The courtroom erupted in shouts of protest when the judge announced his decision. People in the audience shouted “Unjust court” and “Fear the people’s power”. Many others showed their disapproval with noise and commotion.
Mzia Amaghlobeli had a lot of support in the courtroom. Her family members, colleagues, and friends were all there to show their backing. Even representatives from foreign embassies were present at today’s session.
This is not the first time Mzia Amaghlobeli has been detained by police. On January 11, she was initially held administratively during a protest near the Main Police Department in Batumi. She was released after about two hours but then arrested again under criminal law.
