Serbian Screenwriters’ Association Condemns Assault on Official
The Serbian Screenwriters’ Association has spoken out against an attack on one of its officials. Maja Pelevic was assaulted in a park near the Presidency building.
She was attacked from behind while recording regime supporters who had been camping there for days. The attackers took her phone, but she managed to get it back.
A video of the assault was recorded and is still available.
The Association says that police at the scene did not help Pelevic find out who her attacker was. In fact, they warned people to stay away from the area because the police would not protect them from regime supporters.
