Black Sea Platform Conference Underway
The Black Sea Platform conference is currently taking place. The event was organized by the EU-Georgia Business Council, with support from USAID’s Economic Governance Program.
This year’s conference focuses on making trade between Europe and countries along the Black Sea more efficient. Attendees are discussing specific projects that will help achieve this goal.
Representatives from various groups, including diplomatic corps, business associations, the private sector, and civil organizations, are attending the event.
According to Zviad Chkhartishvili, a director at the Port of Poti’s operator company, APM Terminals Poti, the business community is interested in maintaining a stable political and economic environment in Georgia. He stated that sanctions would not be beneficial for anyone.
