**Serbian Military on Full Alert During Protest?**
A member of the Serbian opposition, Marinika Tepic, has asked questions about the country’s military. She wants to know if they were fully prepared for action during a big protest in Belgrade.
Tepic, who is also a deputy leader of the Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP), sent a written statement asking several questions. She wanted to know if the military police and special forces were given live bullets and put on high alert during the protest.
She also asked about regular activities that the Serbian armed forces conducted before the protest. This included moving personnel and equipment around on March 12-14. Tepic wants to know how many tanks and combat vehicles were brought to Belgrade in the days leading up to the protest.
The key question, according to Tepic, is who prepared the military for war against their own people. She also asked if the Serbian Armed Forces Guards Brigade was staying in barracks conditions.
