 The “Tbilisi Financial Summit” was officially opened. The event is taking place at the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre.­
At the opening ceremony of the “Tbilisi Financial Summit,” speeches were delivered by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, and National Bank President Natia Turnava.
“This large-scale event is being held within the framework of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, jointly organized by the National Bank, the Ministry of Economy, and Singapore’s Global Financial and Technological Network (GFTN).
The main theme of the ‘Tbilisi Financial Summit’ is the future of financial technologies, the development of the region’s innovative infrastructure, and the Middle Corridor as a key hub for global trade and digital finance.
The summit is attended by heads of central banks from various countries, leaders of the financial sector, representatives of major companies, and experts.
Participants of the summit have the opportunity to discuss the latest financial innovations, regional development prospects, and international financial cooperation.
Panel discussions feature leading fintech industry companies and their representatives, including Mazurka Dzengi, Executive Director of Bybit EU, the world’s second-largest crypto exchange; Leiming Cheng, Vice President of Ant International; Derek Eiseli, Founder of Eisele Capital; Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder of Paytm; David Gurle, Founder of Hivenet and Policloud; Anu Fancy, Senior Officer at Coinbase; Marco Dal Lago, Vice President of Tether; Rashit Parekh, Partner at Accel, and others,” according to information released by the National Bank.
