**Scottish First Minister Condemns Trump’s Gaza Plans**

Swinney said on social media that any suggestion Palestinians should be removed from their homes is unacceptable and dangerous. He emphasized that there can be no ethnic cleansing in Gaza. The conflict between Israel and Hamas has resulted in over 40,000 Palestinian deaths.
**UK Government Must Act**
The Scottish National Party’s Stephen Flynn called on the UK government to denounce Trump’s comments. Lorna Slater, co-leader of the Scottish Greens, urged Swinney not to “cozy up” with Trump. She said that all governments have a responsibility to condemn and stop these plans.
**Trump’s Proposal Opposed**
Neighboring countries have firmly rejected Trump’s proposal. The US president suggested that the US would create jobs and housing for Palestinians in Gaza. However, his plan is seen as flying in the face of international law.
