**University Students Arrive in Nis with a Thunderous Welcome**
Students from all over Serbia, along with high school students and citizens, arrived in the city of Nis on Friday evening. They had traveled by bicycle and on foot to attend a major rally on March 1.
The people of Nis organized a big welcome for these young travelers. A huge crowd gathered at the National Theater to show their support. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm as Serbian flags, university banners, and fireworks lit up the night sky.
As the students walked down a red carpet, the crowd cheered and chanted “Pump it up!”, which has become the student protests’ slogan. The protest rally, called “Student Edict”, is expected to last 18 hours, from Saturday morning to Sunday morning.
The event is similar to recent protests in other cities like Kragujevac and Novi Sad. It’s a show of solidarity among students and citizens who are demanding change.
