**Students Stand Up to Provocateurs at Serbian State TV Building**

A tense situation unfolded in the streets of Belgrade yesterday afternoon, as students protesting outside the Serbian state TV (RTS) building confronted and expelled two young men they accused of provoking them.

The students, who had been demonstrating against various issues, spotted the two men filming them and posting videos on social media. They suspected that these individuals were deliberately trying to provoke them and create a stir. The protesters took matters into their own hands, pushing the two men out of the fenced-off area in front of the public broadcaster’s building.

**A Mother’s Plea**

The students’ concerns weren’t unfounded. Dijana Hrka, the mother of Stefan Hrka, a young man who tragically died in an accident at the Novi Sad train station just five months ago, had been experiencing harassment from these same individuals. They would come every day, provoke her and other protesters, and post videos online.

A young woman who was part of the group that removed the men expressed their outrage: “They have no shame… They’re provoking all of us, and posting the videos on TikTok. It’s unacceptable.”

**Law Enforcement Intervenes**

The situation could have escalated further, but a plainclothes officer from the Criminal Police Department intervened, showing his ID to Dijana Hrka after she asked to see it. The officer then escorted one of the men away, helping to defuse the tension.

When questioned by N1’s reporter, Dijana Hrka confirmed that these individuals had indeed been harassing her. One of the men even denied the allegations, claiming that the students were the ones who were violent and aggressive.

**A Needed Stand Against Provocation**

The students’ actions yesterday demonstrate a much-needed stand against provocation and harassment in public spaces. As Dijana Hrka pointed out, it’s unacceptable for individuals to deliberately try to stir up trouble and post videos online without any regard for the well-being of others.

In this case, the students took matters into their own hands and confronted the provocateurs, ultimately forcing them to leave the area. This incident highlights the importance of community vigilance and the need for authorities to take such incidents seriously.
