**UK Prime Minister Hosts Summit on Ukraine and Security**
U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer is holding a summit in London on March 2 to discuss the situation in Ukraine and security in Europe. The event will bring together over a dozen European leaders, including President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine.
**Who’s Invited?**
The list of invitees includes leaders from France, Germany, Denmark, Italy, and Turkey. After meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, the leaders of the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Finland, Sweden, Czechia, and Romania were also added to the guest list. NATO chief Mark Rutte and EU leaders Ursula von der Leyen and Antonio Costa are expected to attend.
**Starmer’s Message**
The U.K. Prime Minister wants to show European support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and security. He said that he will use the summit to “drive forward European action on Ukraine” and secure a lasting peace deal.
**Pre-Summit Meetings**
Before the summit, Starmer will meet with representatives of the Baltic states and discuss the war against Russia with President Zelensky. He will also hold one-on-one talks with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to focus on strengthening Ukraine’s position and increasing economic pressure on Russia.
