**World Leaders Try to Fix Ukraine Tensions**

U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron are working behind the scenes to calm down the relationship between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump.

Last week, there was a public disagreement between Zelensky and Trump. Now, Macron is trying to help fix things. He has spoken with both Zelensky and Trump in private meetings. In an interview, Macron said he wanted to remind the Americans that it’s not good for them to leave Ukraine without a deal.

Macron also warned that if Russia wins its war against Ukraine, it might start fighting other countries nearby, like Moldova and Romania.

**Leaders Meet to Discuss Defense Plans**

On Tuesday, Zelensky visited London and met with Starmer. They will meet again on Wednesday with other world leaders to discuss how to keep everyone safe.

Before the meeting, Starmer told Zelensky that it’s very important for Trump to be involved in any peace deal for Ukraine. This way, there can be a lasting agreement between the countries.

**Peacekeepers Could Be Deployed**

The U.K. and France think it would be good to send peacekeeping troops to Ukraine as part of its security guarantees. Starmer said that the U.K. is ready to help in any way they can, including sending troops and planes to support a peace deal.

Macron has been talking about this idea for a year now. He discussed it with Zelensky in January and is still working on making it happen.
