Police Crack Down on Protesters

Tensions are rising at the parliament building in Georgia. Police have started using water cannons and tear gas to push back against protesters.

The special forces deployed around the rear entrances of the parliament are firing water from powerful hoses to try and disperse the crowd. They’re also using canisters that release a smoky liquid, known as “tear gas,” to make it hard for people to see and breathe.

But the protesters aren’t backing down. They’re throwing fireworks and other objects at the police in an attempt to fight back. The situation is becoming increasingly chaotic.
