It became clear that the so-called MEGOBARI Act will not see the light of day, and Joe Wilson came up with a new idea—it will meet the same fate as all hostile initiatives, said Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, responding to the proposal by “Republican” Congressman Joe Wilson to include an amendment on the “non-recognition of the Georgian nightmare” in the U.S. State Department Authorization Act.
According to Papuashvili, the sole purpose of all this is to create informational noise.
“A million-dollar contract has been signed for such activities, and it needs to be justified. This also serves to create informational noise, just like the noise they’ve generated before.
For over a year, the so-called MEGOBARI Act, a hostile act, has been circulating in various offices. Since it became clear that it will not see the light of day, a new idea was devised to justify the funding, the million-dollar contract.
The only goal is to create informational noise. The same actors are involved—we see Congressman Wilson, that one journalist with an Azerbaijani surname, a Kyiv media employee living in Washington. Even this person’s setup shows they are a hired mouthpiece whose purpose is to create such informational noise. This noise will pass, and then what do they plan? It will meet the same fate as all such hostile initiatives before,” Papuashvili stated.
