**SBB Marks Safer Internet Day**

The SBB company marked Safer Internet Day in over 180 countries with a series of activities. The day was used to raise awareness about internet safety.

**Activities Held**

A lecture was held for employees and parents at Telepark business building. Online workshops on child internet safety were also conducted, viewed by more than 500 pupils from three elementary schools in November and December 2024. Leaflets with advice on how to use the internet safely were handed out, featuring educator Katarina Jonev.

**Fight for a Safe Internet**

Jonev said that everyone’s responsibility is to keep children safe online as they grow up in a digital age. She emphasized the importance of securing access to true information and showing them how to benefit from using the internet.

**SBB’s Efforts**

SBB recalled its long history of providing internet services, starting over 23 years ago when it was the first to bring broadband to users. Every year, they increased access speeds. SBB continued educating users and employees about the benefits and risks of the internet, making it safe for everyone.

**Connect Application**

The company introduced the Connect application four years ago, which allows safe home internet use and online child control. The education program for elementary school pupils is a further step in their efforts to educate children about internet safety and addiction.

**Awards and Recognition**

SBB won several awards, including ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and PCI DSS certificates, confirming its leading position in data protection and IT security.
