Tbilisi City Court sentenced a citizen of the Russian Federation, Anton Chechin, who is accused of drug crimes, to 8 years and 6 months in prison.
Anton Chechin was arrested on December 3, 2024. He is charged under Article 260, Part 6 of the Criminal Code, which refers to the purchase, storage, and possession of a particularly large amount of narcotic drugs and provides for a sentence of 8 to 20 years or life imprisonment.
