Georgia’s fifth president, Salome Zurabishvili, attended the ceremony in Prague where journalist Mzia Amaglobeli received the “Forum 2000” International Award for Courage and Responsibility.
“Congratulations to Mzia Amaglobeli, recipient of the Forum 2000 International Award. She is the face of Georgia’s resistance, fighting for democracy, dignity, and a European future. No prison or regime can silence a people who have already chosen Europe!” stated Salome Zurabishvili.
According to the press service, the award ceremony took place within the framework of the “Forum 2000” conference, which Salome Zurabishvili will officially open tomorrow alongside the President of the Czech Republic.
