Elene Khoshtaria’s arrest today is yet another clear expression that we are being ruled by a repressive Russian regime, said Salome Samadashvili, one of the leaders of Lelo – Strong Georgia.
According to Salome Samadashvili, the “Georgian Dream regime” has exhausted every possible resource to govern the country.
“For this regime, Kaladze’s banner is far more important than people’s lives and health, because the violent attackers from Kaladze’s headquarters, who assaulted people just a few days ago, remain unpunished. Yet for damaging a poster with Kaladze’s face, a second person has now been arrested – this time, a politician. All of this shows that this regime has completely run out of resources to govern. They are frightened, terrified, and any form of resistance – whether in the election process, in the streets, or elsewhere – is incredibly damaging to them. This must be a sign for everyone that we should oppose this corrupt regime with even greater determination and, first of all, not allow the corrupt Kakha Kaladze to become the mayor of Tbilisi for a third term,” said Salome Samadashvili.
